This Pembrokeshire self-build was created by a husband-and-wife team who wanted a highly energy-efficient home that would exceed the contemporary building regulations for heat loss. After considering several insulated concrete formwork systems, they chose Polarwall for its flexibility, ease of construction and the positive experiences of previous customers.

Polarwall supplied the materials and continued to provide advice by telephone and through several visits to the site. Despite undertaking the construction largely by themselves, the owners found the system straightforward to work with and considerably easier than conventional blockwork.

The completed project attracted interest from local builders and gave the family the opportunity to build their own home using an ICF system backed by practical support throughout the construction process.
