Our 8 x 1.1/4" Anti Vandal Clutch Head Woodscrews are mainly for use as an anti-vandal fastener that can be used internally and externally. They are a low-cost way of deterring thieves and vandals whether there being used on access hatches, outside storage, etc. Clutch heads are one-way security screws that provide a permanent fixing yet can be installed using an ordinary flat-head screwdriver. The head of the screw has a normal drive face and a chamfered rear face which prevents a screwdriver from being able to unscrew them, as it will simply slip over the face. Once installed therefore these screws will typically have to be drilled out to remove them, something no chancing thief or vandal is likely to do.
