Working alone is not against the law, however the law requires employers to carry out risk assessments and consolidate the roles and responsibilities of employers and employees with effective Health and Safety Policies. An increasing challenge requiring attention are the health and safety risks for people working alone, with current figures showing there are nearly 6 million lone workers in the UK.
