Construction firms 'reluctant to consult HSE'

25-09-2014

Construction firms 'reluctant to consult HSE' It has been reported that some safety consultancies have experienced a significant increase in the number of calls coming through to their safety support lines, as a growing number of people say that they are worried about the implications of phoning the HSE for advice. Construction firms are reluctant to consult the HSE in case they inadvertently flag up any issue that results in a financial penalty. Some consultancies estimate that the number of calls has more than doubled over the last six months as a result of the HSE new approach to fee recovery. If you need Health and Safety Advice, we offer a professional and cost effective 'Safety Advisory Service' which provides you with assistance over the phone and/or by email throughout the year.
