Asphalt works as waterproofing medium for flat roofs, basements and foundations as well as being used as a surfacing material for pavements, car parks, floors and bridge decks.
Asphalt is a natturally occuring material which is a mixture of bitumen and aggregate and also comes in a solid block form.
Asphalt blocks are put into a pot or mixer and heated to aprox 254°C for it become plyable.
It is then put into asphalt buckets or wheel barrow's, tipped onto the work surface and layed to existing levels using a purpose made timber float.
