Energy Assessment (EPC)

An Energy Performance Certificate (EPC) is a legal requirement for anyone looking to sell or rent their property. The EPC provides details on the energy performance of the property and what can be done to improve it. An EPC is also required to get the standard rate for the feed-in tariff (FIT) for solar PV. The EPC rating needs to be a band ‘D’ or better, otherwise you will need to carry out energy efficiency improvements before you apply for the FIT or you will just get the lower rate of 7.1p / kWh for the lifetime of the tariff. The survey should take between 30 minutes to an hour. These can be done at a time to suit your convenience including evenings and weekends.
