Soft Reds (Rubbers)

Soft Reds are found throughout England, and are produced at numerous different brickworks up & down the country, commonly used for facework & feature work i.e. above & around windows & doorways. A soft textured brick, can be smooth faced or with slight creasing on the face. Colours can range from orange to dark red. Otherwise known as Red Rubbers because of the ability to rub brick by hand into ornate shape.
