Irwin 15 piece HSS drill set, this professional set contains titanium coated jobbers drillbits that feature a 118º split point grinding ensures perfect centring and reduced drilling pressure.

The titanium nitride coating reduces friction and resists wear. It has increased drill speeds of 40-60% compared to traditional bits without significantly reducing the life time of the drill bit.

TiN is a poor conductor of heat, so any heat generated during the drilling process is diverted into the chips and coolant and less into the drill bit.

TiN has a low coefficient of friction, resulting in less power being consumed.
