Project details:
The Northern Quarter is one of four major development schemes which are part of a £200m, five-year strategy to regenerate Telford Shopping Centre. The masterplan sees the redevelopment of key areas of the town centre, with the scheme expected to increase the size of Telford Shopping Centre by at least 80% with almost 400,000 sq ft of retail and nearly 250,000 sq ft of restaurants, cafés and bars. A new multi-coloured dome is a central feature of The Northern Quarter and is constructed from smart glass technology which allows the outside of the building to change colour in the light.
Furnitubes' range of Blyth concrete seating was chosen for its durability and low maintenance, with 10 units supplied in a light grey acid etch finish complete with stainless steel, satin polished armrests. The units were placed around the new scheme, particularly adjacent to the a new Aldi supermarket for the benefit of shoppers.
