FP McCann has provided all precast terrace components for the major refurbishment of the Bristol City FC’s Stands.
The Bristol City Football Ground at Ashton Gate has been undergoing major refurbishment work for some time. Two complete terraces have been redeveloped with entirely new stands, while the original East Stand lower tier was demolished and replaced with a new lower terrace.
FP McCann’s Toomebridge Depot provided all precast components for this refurbishment. These items include terrace units, vomitory component, wheelchair platforms, step blocks, parapets and gable walls.
Our Toomebridge Depot has developed a component inventory which is standardised in general terms and similar in principle to other stadia, however dimensionally there are always differences for Bristol, as with most stadia rebuilds, bespoke sections were developed to meet architectural and structural design requirements.
The new South Stand opened in August 2015, providing a capacity of just over 6000 seats. It extends around both corners of the south end of the stadium.
The new Grandstand will be the tallest of the four sides at Ashton Gate, having a capacity of around 11,000 spread over two tiers, with a row of corporate boxes stretching across its middle.
