Thrust Boring Or Moleing as it is commonly known, is used for service pipe renewals when open cut trenching is not practical or possible, such as going under hedges, drives and paths, or even in gardens to cut down on mess and disruption. The mole works by compressed air and thrusts itself through the soil leaving a hole big enough to put the new water pipe down.
