All standard Inverters are able to measure performance from each string circuit. Unfortunately, a string can contain many PV Panels, and if a fault on 1 panels occurs, it could be many months before a fault on the system is discovered, effectively switching the complete string off. With Micro Inverters, an Inverter is installed directly under each PV Panel. Each Inverter communicates with the internet which is then monitored in real time with either the owner and/or the installation Company.
