As you probably already know, depending on the size of your System and your daytime energy usage, you may be exporting excess energy to the grid during the day for say 2.5p/kW (paid to you). Then in the evening you could be purchasing energy in the evening for say 16p/kW. We have been installing technology that compares how much energy you are generating and using. Then any surplus energy is diverted to your immersion - hot water heater. Dependant on many factors, you could effectively have some or all of your hot water heated by your PV System, and still receive the 2.5p/kW!
