Within today's diamond drilling and sawing industry Health and Safety plays a significant role in what can and cannot be carried out on site. At drilltec we currently operate an ongoing educational scheme which is delivered through toolbox talks and informal meetings with all of our on-site operatives. Furthermore, we also operate a system guaranteeing that none of our operatives use percussion tools for longer than the HAV legislation stipulates, in order to prevent VWF or Hand-Arm Vibration Syndrome. Here at drilltec we also risk assess all jobs in order to offer guidance so the operative is not exposed to any excessive levels of vibrations, and is also able to make the contractor aware of these risks.
