The Role:
Due to an impending retirement, an opportunity has arisen for a results driven, competitive and motivated sales person to lead the Sales Support team. This position is a key element of the New Equipment structure of DORMA UK and is responsible for leading and developing the Sales Support Department based in Hitchin. You will be responsible for co-ordinating all pre-sales activities that can be covered from an office based environment. This includes overseeing and directing the Team to target and secure project specifications and develop the ‘long-term projects’ pipeline. You will also manage the supply & install pricing process to Contractors and complete the necessary PQQ’s.
Job Responsibilities:
With a proven track record in managing the quotation process, tracking progress, and possibly some experience of project management, you will have first class communication and negotiation skills and an attention to detail that is second to none. In this role, you will report directly to the Regional New Equipment Director. You will be able to demonstrate where you have previously lead a team and delivered results in a similar environment and you will have overall responsibility for the Sales Support Team’s financial and operational KPI’s. The role is likely to suit someone with either field sales experience, looking to work internally, or, someone looking to build on their people management expertise in the specification and pre-sales stage of winning an order.
