We have a track record of high quality ecological input into EIA and alot of experience in dealing with nature conservation and ecological issues within Environmental Statements. We believe that this process aids in promoting sustainable development and provides the opportunity, at an early stage in the project design process, to reduce ecological impacts through design enhancements and mitigation measures.
Our team of environmental assessors is experienced in all forms of ecological impact assessment (EcIA) both small and large scale and the integration of nature conservation issues with other environmental disciplines. We are fully aware and use the most up to date best practice guidelines produced by the IEEM, and are fully conversant with their use. The Practice has excellent working relationships with Natural England, Local Authorities, JNCC, the Environment Agency and the Department for Environment, Food and Rural Affairs, with regular contacts at regional and national level.
We have a wide-ranging experience of EcIA for road schemes, port and rail projects, residential and commercial developments. We have many years of experience of working with the Highways Agency and County Highway Authority engineers to design wildlife-sensitive solutions, ranging for example, from the creation of new herb-rich grasslands to the developing technologies of bat and dormouse bridges, and drainage systems. We have been involved extensively in motorway and trunk road landscape scheme management.
For residential and commercial clients we work on projects at all scales, from householder extensions, to the largest scale new settlements up to 25,000 dwellings.
