At midday Carter Pumps received a call from a hotel to report that their water pressure booster set had failed. This failure had resulted in no supply of either hot or cold water to the kitchens and bedrooms. With guests already in residence and a fully booked evening for the restaurant it was clear that something had to be done swiftly. Our Engineer arrived at the hotel just one hour after the call. It didn’t take long to establish that the booster set had suffered a catastrophic failure with both pumps unserviceable and pressure switches and pressure vessel requiring attention. Carter Pumps installed a temporary pump, a replacement pressure switch and re charged the pressure vessel. This jury rig was operational by 16.30 and the hotel water services were restored.
