Waterways and Lakes

Birch Brothers are a framework contractor with the Environment Agency. We also work for other government aided/funded clients such as Natural England, National Parks, Wildlife Trusts, DEFRA, County, Borough and District councils as well as many private sector clients and developers. Our considerable experience covers many waterway-related construction projects including rock armouring, gabions flood walls, embankments, gauging stations, flow improvement measures, erosion control, desilting schemes, habitat creation and weir work. We have expertise in river, waterway and lake amenity features including towpaths, narrow boat moorings, nature reserves and riverside parks. Our considerate approach with minimal disruption are an important attribute when working in such public areas.
