HEALTHCARE ESTATES EXHIBITION – 2024 WAS GOOD, THIS YEAR WAS EVEN BETTER
This year’s Healthcare Estates exhibition at Manchester Central on 21–22 October was another huge success—bigger and better than ever.
Healthcare Estates is the UK’s largest event for healthcare engineering and estates management professionals, and—like all great champions—the event owner, IHEEM, and organiser, Step Exhibitions, continue to raise the bar each year. Our thanks and congratulations to both for bringing the sector together so effectively.
For Axis Entrance Systems, 2025 was another standout year.
Our stand
We were delighted to showcase five fully operational doors from across our range, installed the day before the show:
-
Flo-Motion® T32E telescopic door sliding over a wall
-
Flo-Motion® F11E single door sliding over a wall
-
Flo-Motion® T55 telescopic door sliding over a glazed screen
-
New Manusa EI 90 fire-rated hermetic sliding door
-
Doorson 300T telescopic automatic sliding door
Stars of the show
Visitors were enthusiastic and hands-on with all our doors, including those from Doorson and Manusa—two world-class innovators with whom we are proud to have UK distributor partnerships. The real crowd-pleasers, however, were our own multi-award-winning Flo-Motion® doors, particularly the space-saving telescopic T55 and the T32E, first launched at last year’s exhibition. Alongside the performance and aesthetics, visitors were impressed by the unrivalled extent of our product testing.
1,000,000 test cycles
The low-friction track systems used in Flo-Motion® doors have been tested to 1,000,000 cycles, far exceeding the BS EN 1527:2019 requirement of 100,000 cycles. This equates to an expected lifespan of at least 25 years in an NHS environment.
‘Guess the Force’ competition winners
Our charity competition invited visitors to guess the operating force of the three Flo-Motion® doors on our stand. We’re pleased to share the winners, the verified force results, and their chosen charities.
Flo-Motion® T32E — force test result: 7.4 N
-
Connor Burdett (Kingsway Group) for Little Roo Neonatal Fund — £100
Flo-Motion® T11E — force test result: 7.6 N
-
Vajid Mahmood (NHS England) for Shelter — £50 and Macmillan Cancer Support — £50

-
