Why should I demand an Alto tower from my hire company?
If you are renting a tower - then these things seem to us to matter:How capable is it? - an Alto Tower is stronger than any other available tower - so you are highly unlikely to overload it or find it lacking in functionality. Only an Alto tower allows you to have multiple working levels as standard. Only Alto HD towers have over two and a half times the load rating of their nearest competitor. Even our MD tower has more than double the capacity of its nearest competitor.
How safe is it? Most certified EN 1004 towers available in the UK are safe if they are in good condition and used within their capability. Hire equipment is seldom new and dents, creases or broken welds fundamentally weaken tower components. A damaged tower component is a dangerous component.
How much does it cost me? The cost of renting a given tower is pretty much the same irrespective of tower brand. The issue is how much are you going to be charged for damage to the tower when you return it. A lot of towers are so flimsy that they are easily damaged in the construction and maintenance environment.
How easy is it to put up and take down? Alto's unique conical head fittings mean that our frames are highly unlikely to jam and there are no clips to lose. Our toe boards unfold and install in a single piece.
If your hire company of choice doesn't stock Alto - they can always cross hire from one of our stockists - or of course contact us to discuss buying a real quality tower for use by their valued customer!
