By turning the handle down the deadbolt is withdrawn, and further downward action of the lever withdraws the roller latch bolt, allowing exit. Then you have 2 options: leave it as it is (don't drill right through the door) or you can add a release indicator. The Zoo Hardware 19mm Lift to Lock RTD Door Handle works as normal for opening the door. The deadbolt features a second lever handle, and by pushing the handle up extends the deadbolt and locks the door.
