This black antique door handle is traditionally made by skilled Blacksmiths in the UK, ideal for an authentic look in sympathetic restorations and period homes, or to create that period feel in new properties. The lever latch has a flat backplate, perfect for doors that don't require any locking, fit with a tubular latch to operate. The Kirkpatrick Door Handle 2448 is a wide black lever with a simple line down the centre, that curves back towards the door to avoid clothing being caught on the handle. Supplied in PAIRS complete with spindle and screws. The lever sits on a small, Tudor style black backplate. This classic black door handle on backplate is created by one of the oldest established manufacturers of black iron door furniture, Kirkpatrick. This door handle is spring loaded and has two coats to create a protective finish. The bathroom version comes with a turn & release which when fitted with a bathroom lock will lock the door without the need for a key. The lever lock profile suits a door fitted with a sashlock and allows access using a key.
