It has a more grainy texture, but like our powder coat black finish, this antique black finish is baked in a high-temperature oven giving it a durable and corrosion-resistant finish which is low maintenance. Available below in (two sizes) Black Antique - More textured than the powder coat black alternative. This bolt can be used horizontally or vertically, due to the unique spring mechanism incorporated into the backplate. From The Anvil designs are drawn and hand forged in the traditional fashion of English blacksmithing. These bolts are well made, tight-fitting and have a unique spring mechanism. This Straight Monkeytail Bolt has been handcrafted, it is a multi-purpose bolt, designed for use on inward opening doors and windows.
