From The Anvil designs are drawn and hand forged in the traditional fashion of English blacksmithing. Supplied in PAIRS complete with fixings. From The Anvil’s manufacturing techniques create contrasting textures on the surface of the metal to create a rich appearance with an abundance of charm. They are ideally suited to Cottages, Listed Buildings and Period properties. Pewter Patina - They are forged from a durable base of steel and boast a rich, luxurious appearance. The strength of the spring used in our heavy-duty latch will ensure the ring turn returns to its original position. Its subtle sheen offers a bold contrast on stained and painted timber alike. After forging, these products are dipped into hot beeswax which allows them to retain their original colours ranging from blue to deep ochre. Black - This is a popular choice in traditional settings. The products are beautifully suited to listed, cottage and period properties because of their timeless appearance.
