From The Anvil designs are drawn and hand forged in the traditional fashion of English blacksmithing. During the manufacturing process, our Black products are baked in a high-temperature oven, giving them durable, corrosion-resistant qualities. The process by which the contrasting textures of this finish are created results in a rich appearance that sits well in characterful, rustic homes but also offers a contemporary alternative in more modern settings. The Welsh-based brand From the Anvil, design and manufacture high-quality, hand-made and functional ironmongery that enhances and revives traditional buildings and brings an authentic and rustic charm to newer builds. This door chain is particularly strong as it is hand-forged individually from steel on an anvil, rather than cast, as is the case with most of its fellow door chains.
