The pewter door knob is mounted onto a long and wide Jesmond style rectangular backplate with a fixing hole in each corner for easy and secure woodscrew fixing. This is to allow space between the door knob and door jamb to turn the door knob with the hand. This backplate is available here in a long backplate version in three variations: Non-locking latch long backplate, lock backplate for doors with standard UK locks, or with a bathroom turn & release backplate for optional privacy. The Finesse Swirl Door Knob uses a classic ball-shaped doorknob with a beautiful swirl design cast into the centre and around the edge. Finesse Design use lead-free pewter that gives a warm tactile feel and excellent durability. There is also a non-locking latch short backplate version available. For best results the door knob should be placed at a minimum of 76mm (3'') from the edge of the door. Supplied in PAIRS complete with spindle and wood screw fixings. We recommend our double sprung latches for use with this knob, ideally at sizes of either 102mm (4''), 128mm (5'') or 152mm (6"). These door knobs really highlight the natural beauty of pewter, and will give a great bespoke look and finish to your interior.
