The ring pull handle is hinged and located in a circular recess. This sort of handle can also be used in cabinetry and on full-sized doors. It was conceived and designed with an entirely flat and solid surface so that no protruding edges could interfere with the trajectory of a squash ball, or injure a falling player! While this flush handle was originally designed for use on the Squash Court its uses are varied. It is operated by lifting and turning the handle, which turns a spindle and actuates a latch (supplied separately) inside the door or it can be fixed dead simply as a pull handle.
