Collingwood College gymnasium roof is an excellent example of the durability and permanence of a tensile fabric membrane, originally installed by Shelterspan the fabric has been in place since 1979.
Following discussions with the client, a type II PVC coated polyester, similar to the original, was chosen for the external façade of the structure mainly due to its durable nature and long lifespan. The inner liner, installed to help insulation and reduce condensation, was fabricated a high translucency Heytex fabric was chosen.
