Founded by Joseph Seed in 1957 making gates and railings, and then progressing onto Oil Tanks a few years later. By 1965 we had built up a well known name and respected reputation in Lancashire and beyond for the manufacture of high quality Oil Tanks.

In 1959 Joseph’s son Trevor joined the company serving his time of 5 years before moving to Leyland Trucks to gain more experience returning to the company in 1965. Joseph retired in 1977 and then died in 1985.

The company is now run with Trevor Seed firmly at the helm with Barbara Seed alongside him. The company pride themselves on family values and both of Trevor and Barbara’s daughters Joanne Slater and Wendi Whittle now work for the firm.

Wendi Whittle joined the company in 2001 and is now the Sales Manager working to ensure relationships are maintained with existing customers and seeking to bring new customers onboard.

Joanne Slater joined the company in 2003 and deals with the companies Health and Safety and Payroll.

Also in the office is Bernard Hallam who joined the company in 1994 as the Workshop Foreman and was moved into the offices in 2010 to take some of the quotations and site visit work off Trevor Seed to free him up to develop new products. Bernard now arranges most of the installations and outside workers.

We now Currently employ 18 members of staff, many of which live within walking distance from the workshop and have been with us for many years. We regularly take a school leaver to train up and put through an Apprentice, some of them are still with us today and one of which has been with us for over 23 years.

Our customers range from one off end users with a small domestic heating oil tank in their back garden right up to national blue chip companies such as Jaguar Cars, Liverpool and Manchester Airports to name but a few. We even have oil tanks down a Uranium mine in South Africa and recently shipped a set of tanks over to Antigua.

No job is too large or too small for us and our many years of experience means we can assist you with any enquires you may have from design to tank removal and our family values ensure we continue manufacturing and supplying only the best products we can. Our reputation is paramount to our continuing success even in the most difficult of times.
