2015 is well underway and, with the business now having a significant stake in the utilities market, the team at H&Askham are looking to continue to build upon the success of recent years. 2014 saw a number of major projects successfully completed including the Global Tech 1 offshore wind farm and on land the 400kV St Johns Wood substation upgrade.
These projects were key to the growth of the business and in Quarter 3 the Board of Directors embarked on a full company appraisal to ensure that as they move forward, the continued progression and development of the business could be sustained. The management team put in place a defined strategic plan and during Q4 H&Askham welcomed three new members to the team.
Cieran Bayley IEng MIET took on the role of Technical Manager and Tyler Walter MIET Eng Tech joined as Project Engineer for the EHV division. As the Company now approaches the 10th anniversary since trading began, it is with great pleasure that H&Askham can announce David Pierce has been appointed as the organisation’s first General Manager.
David is extremely experienced in the field of Electrical Engineering with over 25 years service within the utilities industry. To complement his Power Distribution experience he has a degree level qualification in business, law, marketing and finance. His appointment comes as the Company is reaching a landmark birthday and together with the Board of Directors he shares the vision of taking H&Askham to the next level of trading.

Director of Engineering, Nick Heale is excited as this new chapter begins, “H&Askham is a dynamic and forward thinking Company. With the positive changes rippling throughout the company 2015 is set to be an exciting year for H&Askham, the business is cementing its standing in its current markets and expanding services within the already established Civils division. Of the challenge that lies ahead Dave speaks openly of his ambitions; “I’ve known H&Askham for many years and it is a pleasure to join the team. I am looking forward to capitalising on the skills and experience I have to enhance an already sound and structured business, however I will be looking to ensure the growth of the Company continues by actively developing a team that is equipped to pursue new markets and industry sectors.”
