Project details:
Streatham Common playground in south London has undergone a major redevelopment, with old metal equipment being replaced with modern wooden play equipment in over 30 different static and interactive forms suitable for a wide range of ages and abilities. New hard and soft landscaping have been introduced to enhance views and create paths for easy access, around which contoured mounds have been formed, all designed to create a more natural environment for the playground. With such extensive new play provision for children, there was also the need to cater for their parents, and Furnitubes’ Fordham range was selected for seating and tables across the site. Large section timber slats compliment the play furniture and their heavy duty construction meets the demands of this busy urban site. The playground has proved incredibly popular since its opening, particularly during its first summer.
